Luxury Car Brands That Will Make Noise in 2018
This entry is no surprise as every model the Italian car manufacturer releases is a sure-fire hit. They will finally release the 812 Superfast, and even its name is an understatement, thanks to a 6.5-liter 789-horsepower V12 engine!
It is confirmed to be the fastest Ferrari car to date as it can reach a top speed of 60 mph in a matter of 2.8 seconds. This car will blow you away with a maximum speed of 211 mph that can be reached with or without turbocharging/supercharging. This will also be Ferrari’s first car to feature electric power steering for extra sharpness. Price starts at $335,275 for the base model.
Adding to their already impressive list of supercars is the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. It boasts a powerful 5.2-liter V12 engine with 631 horsepower and can reach 60 mph in less than three seconds. It’s made of aluminum and carbon fiber material, which lessens the weight and enabling it to run at such speed.
It will also showcase Lamborghini’s new Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) technology, wherein the front and rear spoilers adjust to the environment. This optimizes the vehicle’s cornering and can also boost the car’s break-force or help it increase its top speed. Lamborghini is selling the Huracan Performante for $274,390, excluding the delivery and gas-guzzling tax.
The Lexus will introduce not one, but two elite vehicles in 2018 namely the LC and LS. You can choose between the standard and the hybrid. The LC sports a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 471 horsepower, enabling it to reach the 60 mph mark in around 4.5 seconds. The 10-speed automatic transmission is one to look out for too.
On the other hand, the LS is backed by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with a dual-electric motor that produces 354 horsepower. The base model is priced at $75,000, while the top-tier model is at $100,000.
Although the engine for the LC and LS is a bit identical, the LS is bigger, more stylish, and introduces a new feature called Intuitive Pedestrian Detection with Active Steering System. This is comparable to an AI that will stop the car whenever it’s about to crash or collide with any object nearby. It costs $96,510.
Tesla addresses one of the biggest concerns facing the company, and that is releasing a more affordable version of the Tesla Model S. The new Tesla Model 3 will set you back $35,000 with a one-time $7,500 federal tax credit incentive. This vehicle can go as far as 215 miles per charge and reach 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Moreover, it will include the autopilot system which will definitely come in handy.
The 2017 Buick Regal was a bit underwhelming and was behind its competitors. Buick, however, has no plans of making that the case for two years in a row. The new GS Sports Sedan packs a 3.6-liter 310-horsepower V6 engine that goes hand-in-hand with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the TourX Wagon is built with a 2.0-liter 250-horsepower turbo-four engine. You can get the GS Sedan for $40,000 while the TourX Wagon has a tag price of $29,995.
Perhaps Ford’s most popular model, the Mustang is once again much improved and is better than ever. The V6 engine is replaced with the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Its 5.0-liter V8 engine has been upgraded and a 10-speed AT works on either engine. You can get this car for $25,825.
Dodge is out to impress with their new and limited edition Challenger SRT Demon. This vehicle is expected to dominate the muscle car department because of its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with a whopping 840-horsepower. What’s more, it’s completely street-legal! If you are looking for a vehicle that can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and 140 mph in 9.65 seconds, then this car is your perfect match. The Challenger SRT Demon costs $84,995.
